The Book of Lost Fragrances: A Novel of Suspense

The Book of Lost Fragrances - M.J. Rose Really a 2.5. This just didn't hold my interest. My least favorite in the series. It took me entirely too long to read. I had to put it down several times.
City of Bones - Cassandra Clare Oh boy. I did enjoy this but I didn't love it. The story took too long to move. There was so much world building which was nice but I wanted stuff to happen. I didn't connect to these characters like I normally do in a book. Clary got to grow up quick. She worked my nerves. She doesn't even try to learn to fight. She was dead weight to me. LOL. I like Jace´s humor. He had some funny lines. I'm still curious to know how things will turn out. I definitely didn't like how things ended with Jace and Clary.
Back to You - Robin Kaye 3.5 stars. Heroine worked my nerves a bit.

The Hypnotist (The Reincarnationist, Book 3)

The Hypnotist (The Reincarnationist, Book 3) - M. J. Rose The series is really picking up.
Half Moon Hill: A Destiny Novel (Destiny, Ohio) - Toni Blake When I started this book, it was hard to imagine that I would like it. Let's just say that I was not please with Anna from the last book and the thought of her getting a story was not appealing. Needless to say, I am rather surprised that I loved the story.Anna has decided to stay in town to be around her family. She is now the owner of a small Victorian home that she wishes to turn into a B&B. While Anna makes plans for her B&B, she struggles with her own identity in the town. She doesn't feel a part of the group. Duke Dawson is running from his past and when his plans to stay with family doesn't pan out the way he had hoped, he finds himself in a little cabin on Anna's property. He wants a little time to figure things out and she needs help to renovate the B&B. When the two of them pair up, they learn they have a lot in common.I liked the relationship but there are a lot of miscommunication with Duke and Anna. They don't seem to talk about what they want out of the deal. The side relationship with the man who returns home does not add to the story. Instead, it makes Duke and Anna more withdrawn from their issues. I hope that the author does not throw in these fake love triangle again. It is not a theme that I enjoy in my story.Overall, the story was sweet and readers will get a chance to see a softer side from Anna.
Gold Fire - Starr Ambrose My first by this author but definitely not my last.

Wicked Cravings (The Phoenix Pack, #2)

Wicked Cravings (The Phoenix Pack, #2) - Suzanne Wright OMG. So freaking good. I didn't know I would love this as much as the first since the story started off as a carbon copy of book 1. However, that quickly changed as I realized Dante and Jaime was a fresh new set of characters. Dante is a complete workaholic and obsessed with his role as Beta of the pack. He once gave his heart to a woman who was already mated. It didn't end well so he closed himself off emotionally until Jaime came back to his pack.Jaime and her brother are trying to move on and being a part of the close knit pack is the answer. Jaime always longed for Dante but he has never shown interest in her. She decides to move on and it sets Dante off. As they get closer, Jaime tries to hide a secret from him bit eventually he learns the truth. He must help her or send her from the pack.Let me just say that Jaime´s story broke my heart. I felt so much sympathy for her. To keep that in must have been difficult. Dante was determine to help her. God, I love me some him. At the end my heart broke for them. I was so nervous it wasn't going to end right but it did.The sex scenes was great. I would have love to submit to Dante. LOL.I was glad to see some of the same humor in this book. My girl Greta was back and dishing out that snark that I love. OMG, the birthing scene was awesome. The side story with Nick and Shaya caught my interest. I need more of them. I can't wait for their story. I think I found a new series to love.

Thief of Shadows

Thief of Shadows - Elizabeth Hoyt I love this series but something was lacking for me. I can't put my finger on it. I absolutely adore Winter but Isabel took linger for me to like. I hate that Winter's family was gone for the bulk of this book. It was weird.
New Girl - Harper Bliss Short hot read.
Wetter - Harper Bliss Could have been longer.

Real (Real, Raw & Ripped, #1)

Real - Katy Evans I really wants to give this five stars. So many of my friends here loved it but it didn't resonate that deep to me. Sure, I enjoyed it but didn't love it. I felt like Remy. Highs and low throughout this book. First, I couldn't relate to Brooke. She was immature at times and since it was told from her POV, I couldn't get inside Remy's head. She damn near had orgasms just from looking at him. I didn't see the development with her. I liked the heavy subject matter surrounding Remy but Brooke's reaction to him and even others was odd. They over looked it...Too easily. Speaking of that, she pissed me off by doing shit to set him off. I don't know why she act like he wasn't going to find out what she did to get her sister. Hello! Ever heard of camera phones. With that being said, I loved me some Remy. Alpha. Strong. Loving. A lil crazy but I could deal. The problem was that everyone focused on his body and gorgeous face instead of his issue. I wish we could have got in his head some more. I wanted to know what he was thinking. What he was feeling. It was all Brooke's thoughts and they were strictly sexual. LOL. The subject matter surrounding Remy could have been dealt with better and made for a beautiful dark story but the sexual tension was in the way. All I knew about his shit was that he was getting crazy like incredible hulk. Eyes changed color. Flipping out. LOL. My boy was gone. LOL.Despite that I enjoyed the book and I did feel some connection with them. At the end when he finally spoke his true feelings, I almost melted. Just so nice to see the "real" him. I still want to see what's next.
Feral Sins - Suzanne Wright So good. Glad this didn't have the infamous orgy scene. I like the interactions between Taryn and Greta. Funny as hell.

Private Practice

Private Practice - Samanthe Beck Absolutely adorable. I really enjoyed this. It was exactly what I needed. There were times when it was a bit predictable but overall this was cute and fun.

Winterblaze: Number 3 in series (Darkest London)

Winterblaze - Kristen Callihan I loved poppy and win's story. There was so much drama, lies and shocking moments. I can't wait for talent and Mary Chase to get together.

Moonglow (Darkest London, #2)

Moonglow - Kristen Callihan Good. The ending had me in knots. Got to move to the next book.

Twice Tempted (Night Prince Series #2)

Twice Tempted - Jeaniene Frost The beginning of this started off a bit rocky. I really like Leila but she came across a little too whiny and bratty at first. The story begins where the first book left off. Leila is trying to figure out her relationship with Vlad. He is a little distant which is annoying her. She soon discovers that he wants her to be a part of his line which freaks her out since he has never told her that he loves her. Soon she leaves with Maximus hot on her trail. The beginning left me feeling like a Bones/Cat story. Maximum reminded me of Tate. Just weird. Anyway, after she returns back to her home, Maximus is able to plant all kinds of crazy thoughts in her head after an explosion nearly kills her. The real story begins now as Leila tries to figure out who to trust. Let's just say I was not happy when she thought Vlad had something to do with that bomb. She let Maximus get a little to close. Of course, she snaps out of it and asks Vlad for help.Vlad is just such a dangerous character. I love it. He doesn't apologize for being who he is. He tries to protect Leila at all cost even if he knows she will disapprove of his methods. When he realizes his emotions, it was awesome. Leila had more of a rough time to stay in my heart. There was too much doubt in her mind for the man she claimed to love. She eventually turns around and becomes the woman from the first book. Kick ass and all business. The way it ended, I'm sure I will get more from them.
